I love their minimums being 1000 Turbine PIC for the FOs and 2000 Turbine PIC for the Captains... Are they going to be paying more than Delta?

That's a valid point down the road--assuming they ever get to "down the road"--but, for now, they probably don't need to. Whatever modest number of pilots they need to get started, they'll be able to find that many who meet the minimums and who are (for whatever reason) in a position to take a job at lower pay in the hopes of being rewarded (by single-digit seniority, if nothing else) if the start up succeeds....

So the big question is who's gonna go there and be an FO with more than 1000 Turbine PIC and less than 2000? The military guys won't be there long... The civilian guys are making as much or more in their current PIC job. IF you're making as much then why change jobs? I'm sure they'll fill the positions if there are only 20 captains, but those captains won't be there long!

I went to the interview, very professional, the Normal questions. Everyone is hire as FO but train as Capt including OE, and as the capt seat is available you upgrade to capt for the first 6 classes. After the six class everyone will train as FO. Good chances that by the time you finish training you can hold the capt seat. Guarantee is 70 hours 1 year pay 110, 2nd 120, 3 =130, 4=140, 5=150. Over 85 hours is 125% and days off 150%. Junior assignment 200%. First year 5 days vacation second year 10 days & fifth year 15 days. Personal days off (PTO)5 per year. That you can use for sick days also. Medical, 401K short and long term disability, including lost of license insurance.
Second airplane by the end of June, third by July and four by August; they are expecting to have 5 aircraft by December. By February they are expecting 2 new airplane from factory due to order cancelled from other companies. According to the DO 10 B737-800 and 10 737 max on orders plus 20 MRJ. With options of up to 40. And they also plan to have a hangar running by the end 2017.
Received the call today for class on June 25 and I am taking it.
Hope this help to make futures candidates decisions .

sheers.

Eastern Named UM Athletics' Official Airline
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Miami-based Eastern Air Lines has signed a three-year agreement to become the “Official Airline” for University of Miami Athletics, Hurricane Sports Properties announced Tuesday.
"Eastern Air Lines is absolutely delighted to once again be affiliated with the University of Miami, as the ‘Official Airline’ of Miami Athletics,” said Ed Wegel, Eastern President and CEO. “This initial three-year partnership with the ‘U’ will re-affirm Eastern's commitment to our hometown of Miami and to a very successful Miami athletics department.
“We look forward to welcoming Miami Hurricanes teams, sponsors, and fans on our aircraft."
Eastern Air Lines succesfully re-launched in 2014 and today operates three aircraft in charter for professional sports teams, as well as operating a scheduled charter operation to Cuba with over 80 flights per month. Eastern also operates charters throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. Eastern will have a fleet of ten 737 Next Generation aircraft in operation by year end 2016 and has an order with Boeing for twenty new 737s.
Duffy House, general manager of Hurricane Sports Properties, called the partnership “exciting.”
“It’s exciting for us to play a role in reestablishing a relationship that goes back many years. We look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership with Eastern Air Lines for years to come,” House said.
Eastern Air Lines Group, Inc., was formed to re-launch Eastern Air Lines as a passenger airline using Boeing 737-800 aircraft from its main base of operations at Miami International Airport. Eastern Air Lines headquarters is located in Building 5A at MIA. For more information, visit www.easternairlines.aero Eastern Air Lines Group, Inc - Airlines in the United States[/url]

Coke I don't think what you did is right by posting the CP email. I think what everyone have to do is to apply on the company website and attach the resume to the application. And in any case walk your resume in, and put a face to the paper.

Right now the company is only charter flights , with 3 airplanes and with 2 more on the way. They are planning schedule flights by mid 2016.
FO first year pay is $42 x 70
Capt first year pay is $110 x 70
Upgrade time is approximately 6 to 8 months, since the company is planning on having 10 aircraft by the end of 2016.
The new B737's are scheduled to arrive by 2017, 20 in total.
The MRJ scheduled for 2019, 20 in total.

Very disorganized management at best. If,you drink the kool-aid then you will be fine.
