FDX SZX Layover Gouge
 

Any gouge on good places to eat near the JW Marriott Hotel in SZX? Bars, etc. Posted this on the layover forum but seem to get more traffic here.

Go to Shekou Sea World. Very nice place with dozens of restaurants and expat bars. Taxis are cheap in Shenzhen.

Look at hotel on Google Maps. Reference golf club across the street. Notice the green subway line crossing under the golf club. There are lot's of restaurants and pubs at the Shopping Mall train station area which is opposite corner of golf club from the hotel you asked about.

You can walk to the Ziangmihu station and ride the train for one stop or walk down the main drag around the golf club and down to the Shopping Park area. The Shopping Park subway entrance is literally at the footsteps of McCawley's Irish Pub (they have a website) for a more detailed address. Canadian teachers working abroad frequent there. Shenzhen hosts three Canadian schools. :D

There is a KFC back behind the hotel if you want something quick. Type in Google Maps "KFC near XXX hotel."
