And another 737 June class scheduled for June I'm sure they must be seeing all FOs bidding the 777 in the system as soon as they can.

Bidding over to the triple and just as likely quitting, lots of FO’s leaving for greener pastures and it’s only going to continue that way.

it’s funny... peeps on the line are so polar opposite on this topic.
It’s either this rumor or the rumor that we’re getting a bunch of new jets lol
no one knows

Default Out basing

A few clarification on out basing for Atlas please.

During your 30 (or 60) days out basing, do you still get guarantee days off?
Inputed Income doesn't apply for out basing correct? Just the gateway travel/hotel.
Are out basing assignment pretty senior? Having the higher guarantee.
What are some common out base for the 747?

Thanks mates.

No.
During an out-base, you’ll receive the minimum number of 24/7 periods off in order to be legal. So, you’ll get four 24 periods free from duty. You also won’t get any extra days off for the month before or after. So, you can go from an out-base assignment straight into another 17 day trip without ever getting home.

I'm not in the 74 so I'm not sure how it works there...but on the 76 we get 60 day lines to avoid that...and also it's 17 days on within the month. So you'd get 17 days...a few days off (like 5 days min between);then the other 17 days.

Again I don't know the whole operation yet but it seems that the schedule is mitigated to avoid. 17 days back to back... although im sure it can happen now and again.

The longest my schedule has had me away with 2 month trips back to back is 21 days...but it's only happened once.

Just my .02c and to give more observations on the matter.

The gentlemen was asking about out basing, which is not an ordinary schedule / line. You get paid a little extra, but if you choose to out base then the company owns you for 30/31 days straight. The idea is that they’ll have a reserve crew member in ICN/HHN/NRT etc. for a whole month, but that’s really just theory. They can do whatever they want with you for the month that you have out based.

Yes this is the candid explanation I was seeking. Always helps to know exactly what you are signing up for. I understand for some the out basing is a benefit (those living overseas). Thanks for the input.

Thanks Lionhaart. This roster example seems like a typical 60 day line bidding. I assume the 747 would be similar with a few catch here and there. Just trying to see if a out basing is something worth bidding. The pro's and con's. Cheers mate.
