Atlas Air CBA Showdown: 2021 Edition
Official communication from today:
"Negotiating Committee Update
January 15, 2021
The Negotiating Committee just closed out what was planned as the final scheduled week of negotiations with management. At the request of management, we continued to meet virtually because of the global pandemic challenges we all face.
The week started out with a significant amount of internal work for the negotiating committee as we prepared another comprehensive contract offer to management to close out all remaining Articles. We also worked on a supposal in which we continue to identify significant savings.
A meeting was held on Wednesday with the company and union financial experts on costing issues. At this meeting, we engaged with management on some meaningful dialogue. Thursday morning, we made our comprehensive contract offer to management. On Friday morning, management held a meeting and expressed recognition of our offer. Management expressed to us that they are preparing another counterproposal.
As a result, management proposed two additional meeting sessions and we have accepted. The subsequent meeting sessions are scheduled for February 2 - 4, as well as February 9 - 11.
On a separate note, Arbitrator Dana Eischen has agreed to take on the work that may be needed to closeout our contract by way of an arbitration award. The arbitration is scheduled for March 17-19, March 22-26, and March 29-31, to conclude any contractual disputes remaining.
We will continue to keep you apprised of any developments as they unfold.
Sincerely,
Your Negotiating Committee"

How about we wait for the union to communicate what they can/want to? They’re doing their job, let’s NOT make it harder for them by negotiating in public.

There was a conference call today at 3pm. I would have expected all questions to be answered. I don't think the suits even showed up yesterday. I try to listen in on as many calls as possible, and there seems to be one hell of a disconnect between rumors and reality. Every two weeks the EXCO is available to answer whatever questions are put to them.

Just a quick correction: we don’t have an Exco anymore. We haven’t since we’ve moved to 2750. Eventually, there will be an E-board, but as of right now we have neither an Exco no an e-board, just a trustee.
