There is a reason why over 80 Atlas pilots have quit this year with the majority being here less than a year. Even with the potential of a new contract, those pilots believed they would be better off leaving Atlas, and this is before Delta or American start hiring.

is that accurate about Western, that they can keep you out for 35-40 days with that loophole of your rotation going into a new month?? 17-20 days is a long time but do-able; I can see quitting if they’re routinely pushing that limit...
But does that really happen a lot??

I can’t speak to what they’re doing lately. But I can see it happening when you’re on IOE trying to get signed off and scheduling wants to get you signed off when you’re already on the road and there is a Maintenance delay and you’re in some city waiting for one of three 74s and short on LCAs. Yeah it can happen especially when you’re not signed off IOE and not able to bid and having to wait on the road till next months bid period.

but for her to say it was Unsafe was BS. Can’t make claims that serious on Social Media and not provide context.

I know some people at Atlas and most are looking for an opportunity to move on from there. Money, bases, trip length seem to be the main reasons.

Probably just typical hypothetical pilot conversation, but an interesting thought.

They will have to pry K4 from Connie's cold, rigor mortise grip.

It'll be 4 years from now, when the company is set to enter negotiations for the next contract

True, as I said I just mentioned it as a “perspective” to not really take my personal view on extensions to be pure but the reality of a few extensions was accurate in my case. You are totally right it’s not the same at all serving vs trying to be served a fair compensation for civilian work. Apologies, nearly a quarter of a century of servitude has numbed the pain receptors a bit. Here’s hoping for a better play ground renovation in a few months.

Everything I said was correct...pretty sure being away from home is a big part of QOL. My statement was being away and starving is quite a bit different then being away and banking lots of money, paying your bills and putting your kids through college. Atlas pay is horible.

Dude, reread what I said. Pretty sure we are in agreement...... straight from my post.

Different strokes for different folks. I just flew with an FO recently that left Southwest for Atlas. He even had a picture of his Southwest crew ID. He said he absolutely hated the type of flying they did at Southwest.
