What will the new CBA look like?

Fantastic, definitely the guy you want to meet in the parking lot at 3 O’clock. Well, maybe not anymore, the mil life is long over, 215 ain’t muscle anymore at 240, having lived in the Far East growing up is a Far Cry from being an MMA Fighter so maybe I’ll just stay on the bus. Shooter, that’s rich - Awesome!

One week to go. If the arbitrator awards the industry worst CBA that the company proposed in short order there won’t be an Atlas/Southern; except maybe as a dry leasing entity. Losing 60+ pilots a month now, another decade long crap contract forced on the crews will double the attrition. Not that the company cares, the fab five execs will still make millions as a leasing company.

I have a feeling that this is what the Arbitrator will decide.

I’ve seen JD address a large pilot group regarding the CBA and it quickly becomes apparent it isn’t just business, it’s personal for him. Maybe it’s the lawyer win at all costs mindset but he will never allow a decent contract; or a vote on one for that matter. Maybe the board will give him the boot when we start losing customers. It’s possible his fate also rests on the arbitration award. We’ll know shortly.

Yup as I and many have said months ago. Both parties unhappy is where it most likely will end up and that is a fair assessment. I use fair loosely of course. Better is better as Best it will never be. More curious to the losses incurred to gain in other areas, especially regarding seniority benefits despite what little we have. It will be interesting if anything was horse traded for many vs the few which always depends on where you sit… it will be very obvious. Maybe next time we can get something rolling within a 5 year measure or whatever plan vs kicking the can down the road endlessly. (And I do mean our personal cans down the road).

Are you ready, with a bately dry ATP, to be in command of a Boeing wide body flying on the other side of the world while the Captain is in the bunk? That’s the job of the FO/Relief Pilots at Atlas/Southern.
