Agreement Reach Improvements to current CBA.

Atlas is still a slowly dying airline today as it was yesterday. Now that Covid is winding down, the reprieve is over. Every month we have double or more quitting than starting class. Managements attitude is the Black Knight in Monty Python with all his limbs cut off saying “It’s just a flesh wound!”. This AIP, while welcome is just a bandaid on their “flesh wound”. It may get more new hires in the door temporarily but after a year or two they’ll realize what they’ve gotten into and leave. Attrition will increase as Atlas sheds aircraft and upgrade times continually go up. Atlas management plainly says they’re fine with becoming a “much smaller airline”.
When airlines 1/8th our size like Sun Country can vote in a contract after 7 months that’s 100% better in every area vs 6 years for Atlas to force another worst CBA in the industry, even after these improvements, Atlas is still not a “Destination Airline” by any metric. Our mgt considers us the farm leagues and testified as much to the arbitrator. Atlas pilots will forever be compensated as such until the shareholders remove those at the top.

Atlas Management got a two year extension.
Attrition Dec ‘21 is higher then Dec ‘19.
You can start pumping faster, you can make training pay $295/hr, you can keep polishing the wrong side of the turd.
The numbers still don’t make sense if you have more then 10 years to go in the industry.

Actually very good information regarding the open date for applications. Thanks for the update as many were curious I’m sure. Most here already qualify to be able to put an application in and for any complete newbies, it’s not astonishing/old news that UPS and FedEx have been poaching our pilots endlessly for many, many, many years and with good reason, Majors included of course. As the pool of well qualified (experienced worldwide pilots) pilots dries up even more than ever before, ALL the others will continue to drop requirements (4yr degree perhaps, etc.) from “Required” to “Preferred” to eventually nothing but bare basics. I think some have started doing their own training intentions vs just flow thru programs. The candidate does not get better from here as we approach the Black Diamond slope. ACMI is exceptional experience to have under your belt hands down. Enjoy your stay while you’re here and wish you the best. For the lifer’s, I will continue to enjoy flying with y’all.
