FO application
Hi I applied in OCT 2021 is there anything else I need to do. My friend forwarded my resume and also a recommendation to the CP but still haven’t heard anything. Just wondering if I can do anything else except updating resume. Thanks

Tell your friend to submit a recommendation again. It doesn’t go to the CP, it goes to HR via a specific email address. An MOU signed in October states that any crewmember recommendation will receive at least a phone screen from HR. You should at least get that.

I’ve heard it’s taking around two months from getting an internal recommendation to a phone screening. Is that still about right or has anyone who’s been through recently able to share if the process is running slower/faster than that at the moment? Cheers

When I got hired earlier this year, I went from rec to CJO in about 2 weeks.

Wow, you went through fast! Seems I've missed the same day phone call but hopefully I don't end up in the months later column... Your recommendation must have had some sway!!

That's odd, I thought there was a mess exodus of pilots to other carriers and Atlas was looking to fill seats?

The presentation has good information and answers a lot of questions. For the Technical, study/be familiar with everything on the study guide. You will also receive a flight plan a few days prior. Be able to answer questions on the weather and all procedures listed on the charts. HR panel is low threat.

I can’t really help much with the tech panel as it’s been many years and interview process changes since I went through it. The most recent pilot I know personally that went through it was about 2 years ago. At that point, it was reading a Jepp chart and briefing an approach, disseminating weather(metar/TAF/some basic charts such as significant weather charts), and a little basic info about the aircraft he was flying(not a type Atlas operates). They also talked for a few minutes about his career progression to this point.
Others should have more up to date info such as what NewType posted.
Good luck!
Edit to add: Since it’s virtual, test your computer/camera/microphone all before to make sure they work properly with the program being used. I assume it’s Zoom but that’s just a guess. Find a quiet, distraction free location and pay attention to what’s behind you that will be in camera view.
