I'd be interested to see how our attrition stacks up against Kalitta's, ATI's and ABX's. That might provide a little more of a window into how many folks are losing hope and leaving.
Doubt that many from K4, especially with the new contract and pretty quick upgrade. You have a lot of guys that came over from Emirates or regionals that went out of business. Doubt they are itching to go elsewhere.

This is quite misleading. In your post you allude to seniority equating to more money or a better quality of life. For context, after 10+ years of seniority I still work the same amount or just as hard as the person on the bottom of our seniority list. Sure, I can "hold" more open time and get more $ but I refuse to do that as I cherish my off time. Life here does not get any better with seniority.

Good point. We do still have a lot of Emirates guys here.

Here’s where your answer lies if you haven’t figured it out. My guess your a 10+ year Capt as I remain FO, your thoughts now? It’s not great seniority vs other carriers, but I have been #1-#3 at various bases. Makes sense, or not? I would be bottom rung at some bases or not able to be Capt at one and you can guess that one. Could do a ton of OT, but home is nice… for me…

If the webboards are any indication (sort of like wetting a finger and sticking it in the air to determine wind direction) the only other carrier I've seen publicly bemoaning attrition is Sun Country. None of the other carriers you referred to seem to be concerned about how many people they're losing. MOST carriers seem to be ramping up.

FWIW.

Nope, I'm an FO as well. Extremely senior in seat and base. Please share how to work less days. The last I checked in our contract, there's no seniority order for who gets called off of R2 or R1?

According to APC numbers for the other carriers, we have 3.5x the pilots of Kalitta, 5x that of ATI, and 12x that of ABX. The only integrated seniority list I've seen shows us with 2400+ pilots and that list stopped at the end of August, 2020. So those are lowball numbers.

We continue to hire with classes every 3 weeks, albeit maybe slightly smaller classes and none on the 737, so I don't think the company is that worried about how many people they're losing. The only people worried are the pilots here trying to put pressure on management to prove we need a better contract.

So I don't recall the numbers that were put up on GC but I think it's all relative.

This right here was one of the major reasons I bailed from Atlas a few years ago. I went from #2 FO in my base to 2nd from last CA and still had a 17 day schedule. In my 3rd year at a legacy and I make as much as I did as a 747 CA... oh, and work less too.

Also a good point.
