Some people who haven't worked here for very long think open time trips are normal! They're not. This place exisited for a very long time with zero open time. We had people on furlough until 2010.

I have a friend who works at Atlas who said she'd be willing to give me a recommendation, but didn't know if there was a specific process to do so.

Is there anything more than the little drop down box on the application and writing in her name that I must do, or is there some mechanism she would have to complete?

Thanks!

Just got a personal email for a virtual meet and greet to hire pilots. Looks like we're short or expecting to be short. I stand corrected.

I applied about a month ago.

Got an email in return with a link where I assume I was to add more info or something.

The link didn't work, no matter what I tried. No apparent way to contact anyone to ask what next.

Anyone have any advice?

Hey guys,

Regional airline captain here with 3200 TT and 550 Turbine PIC.

I just finished my Interview with Atlas, which went very well and I am waiting for an answer. I am also waiting on an interview with Allegiant.

I am kind of at a crossroads right now and I am curious what you guys would have done if you were in my shoes.

Stay in my regional airline until I get 1000 Turbine PIC time and in the meantime try applying for other airlines, or go with Atlas, or go with Allegiant (assuming I pass the interview)?

My career goal is to be at a legacy airline, or LLC, or cargo. I would like to live in Florida in base or be home-based in Florida.

You are prime for Fed Ex with the 550 TPIC. FedEx has a knack for pulling ACMI guys with the TPIC with a Boeing WB type. But if you are concern with longer trips and prefer to be home on nightly basis, Allegiant is not a bad option either.
