Hi folks,
In today's climate, how competitive will a 135 pilot with 4000+ single engine turbine PIC be?
Got 200h multi-piston, Training captain and ACP experience.
I read in the forms and spoke to pilots that absolutely enjoyed flying for Atlas. Figured now might be the time to move up.

All they can do is say "no". Throw your hat into the ring and find out. If you know anyone who is currently at Atlas / Southern, and internal rec will go a long way.

Met a young (25) regional guy last month who was very interested in what we do. I gave him the honest up and down lifestyle and it all depends on your priorities in life, etc. He was on the Big 3 path and was tired of slugging it out day by day for several years just to do the same for another 35 yrs plus possibly albeit a much better paycheck/lifestyle. He knew we wouldn’t compensate financially nearly as well, etc. (but quite a bit better 2nd yr compared to now) and the importance of the line number. He specifically said: “While single, wanting to travel and having no previous relationship/tie down issues it would be a good time to venture out aside from the current Viral issues.” In that case I told him Welcome aboard when you apply/get here and enjoy being free with the awareness of trying not to get tied down abroad. I wished him the Best and let him know he could jump pretty much anywhere else when ready after he got the travel bug squashed on company time. You’re only young and single once and Atlas is amazing and dangerous all at once. Life can be tough, but helluva lot tougher when your stupid.

Always liked that one. Never make the shot you don’t take. You will either hate it, good with it (temporarily perhaps) or like it which a lot of us actually do. All based on your priorities and lifestyle which I can guarantee.

What are line pilots saying about life at atlas on the 767? new contract? Asking for a friend...... He has a class coming up. He's read all the rumors but only the line pilots will know what's up.
