Definitely a seller or “Winning” as you mentioned and that’s good stuff for anyone wanting the stability of a great gig with those parameters. There are many who would enjoy your Purple gig and I wish them going forward the best. Just selling it for you specifically and you definitely had too much time remaining on your lifespan as best we know to stay here. Makes total sense. Please correct me if any assumptions are wrong.

FYI the majority of 3 and 4 digit PIC’s are a pain in the @ss to work with as you have to tippy-toe around all their pet peeves.

As I stated, “fairly experienced crews”. I didn’t break it down by seat…just kind of spit balled it for the crew as a whole. I’m familiar with all the people involved in each situation I mentioned except for the near midair with LH near LAX…that was before my time.

I’m also aware of what it’s like dealing with very senior Captains…many of whom upgraded in under a year(“on the classic”) and have been in that seat now for 15-20 years.

I looked at it…but I stopped reading when I saw that 2 of the bases they list have been closed for a long time…and they don’t list 2 other bases that we have…they’re not exactly up to date.

Pay scales may or may not be correct…I didn’t get that far.

Do Atlas pilots get a discount at Crew Outfitters? I was going to buy a bag from there and I saw they had a section for Atlas employees that I can't access yet.

Yes we do, just wait until training to get your bag. There’s a local Crew Outfitters in Miami down the street from the training center.

Atlas Air Hiring

So, looking for opinions on my situation. I have accepted a FO position at Atlas and have a class date in a few weeks. But yesterday I got the invite from Delta to take the cog test as a precursor to interview. I’m wondering what the best path forward is. Pretty sure that I’d rather be at Delta long-term, especially considering the latest contract shenanigans at Atlas. But I doubt if I’d get through the interview process and get a CJO from Delta before my Atlas start date. Should I proceed to training at Atlas and try to work around my training schedule for a potential Delta interview? If I get hired while in Atlas training, do I complete training? I keep thinking of the old saying 1 in hand is better than 2 in the bush…

Atlas management doesn’t care about you, your family, your career…..take the job at Atlas to keep you current until you have a better offer…then leave. None of us line pilots will have any hard feelings…and management won’t even notice. You’re just a number on a spreadsheet to them.

Edit to add: Don’t post anything that would make you easily identifiable. Management monitors message forums(or, at least, they did during negotiations)…so don’t give them any ammo to act a fool against you.
