If, and there is a huge if there obviously, I would fly my scheduled line for December, I would spend 17 days in ANC. 18 if you count day 1 that started with a 7pm show.
Just over 100 hours of credit.

Depending on length of pattern being ANC base, I usually see ANC once or twice a trip before the final return. Usually all ICN-xxx-ANC. Where they get you is if they send you Japan then they will usually send you to LA or CVG if they were trying to keep you from having having hard rest. But it is difficult for them to do that with ANC folks. Easier if you were bases somewhere else.

Default Upgrade

What’s time to upgrade on the 777 and 747 at present and is that expected to change over the next 12 months?

Junior 747 CA was hired in August of 2016.
Junior 777 CA was hired in January of 2019.

That being said, it is most definitely not representative of things going forward. The the last vacancy award had someone hired in February 2015 awarded 747 CA, and someone hired March of 2003 awarded the 777 CA. There's going to be a lot of churn throughout the fleets now that the airline is finally merged, so prior upgrade times really don't mean anything.

I would say that 6-7 years to upgrade on the heavy fleets might be around where it evens out. Less time to upgrade on the 737.

Default Miami base

Why is Miami such a senior base on the 747 and what are the reasons for that?

Because there are a ton of Hispanic pilots at Atlas who enjoy a high quality of life by making short trips which only cross a few time zones that always return to base. They spend many nights in their own beds and are able to take full advantage of our open time/over time system.
