Here's the text of the email I got. I took the online test in early May, and have been waiting since then for the phone screen.

Dear Applicant,
*
I wish to inform you that we will begin our phone screening process next week for future face-face interviews.* We apologize for the wait, but hope that you are still as interested in joining the Atlas Air team as before.* One of our representatives will reach out to you within the next two weeks.
*
*
Regards,

And yes, I'm typed in the 737.

What does having a 737 type have to do with anything? That sounds like more of a Southern rumor...

Atlas can't fly 737's... We would have to change our call sign.

Instead of "Giant" ,our call sign could be "Mini Me" for the 737.

I guess 777 rumors have gotten too old for the rumor-mongers. 737 is the freshest rumor of a new fleet type, FWIW. I guess perhaps for DHL and apparently some suits from the "new" Eastern were in the school house. As with anything, believe it when you see our name on the airplane. 737 pays 76% of 747 pay rates.

But seriously, gooda ruck to Atlas if the 737 thing ever happens. The $97/hr second year pay on the 747 is a strong draw to Atlas, but everything below that (even the 767) isn't really a great deal.

$6000 a month minus the imputed income tax is an insult to fly a 747.
