1 year 3 months in pool. Only had 1 email from the company saying sit tight there will be a class for you soon.
I haven't been a squeaky wheel with them but clearly that would work better than holding my breath.

If you have friends here, get them to go to DB or RR and ask directly WT F, over!

How bad do you want it? One way to start an email to them is something to the effect of..... there are rumors on some message boards about a short notice class and just wanted to let you know that I am still very interested . . .

What could it hurt?

Well i do have several emails telling me that there will be classes in the future. Never at any time did i mention that i wasn't available at a moments notice. After i got the pool letter i was very excited and saw light at the end of the tunnel as my escape route out of the regionals. I've called and left messages and never heard a peep back. When i got the letter, i made some serious mistakes like, sold stock and sold personal items so i could be in a great position for the 50% pay cut. Even had the wife excited about me being gone 17 days.
Then the call never came. Atlas still interviewed. They still put those that interviewed after me in classes. I get it, that is their choice and discretion.
But it doesn't soften the blow when you organize your life and make financial choices because of a "Potential Offer". I'd still like to go to Atlas, but to say i don't have resentment would be a lie. I will call again, but i expect to be ignored. A rejection letter would have been a better letter to get than a "congrats, don't call us, we will call you".

You're right, it's a flawed system. Making guys wait a year will result in people showing up to day one of class annoyed with Atlas. It's a terrible introduction to the company.

I'm headed to an interview in HPN on Wed......I've read through this thread and many people indicated the dress code listed as business casual....Emerald Cost sent me a gouge that said business casual. However my info packet does NOT indicate a dress code at all...the last person that I personally know who interviewed in MIA in May said everyone was in suits. is there anyone else on here who interviewed very recently?

Since there was nothing specific on any of the paper work from Denise and since the interview is in NY for the first time...I'm planning on going with the suit.

They tried a few years ago to make it casual, but many thought it was a test. Some did, some did not so it was removed from the letter. I don't think it would in any way be a deal breaker if you went casual but you only get one chance too make a first impression. Good Luck.

Yeah, the letter used to say business casual. It doesn't any more. Everyone in my interview group in February was in a suit.

Go with the suit.

For my May 8 interview, all were in suits. People I know that had May 6 and 7 interviews said everyone wore suits.

Good luck!

I'd suit up...

You are putting yourself on display under the microscope, while they (in NY) already have the job, YOU are the one looking for the job.

Even though there are no "tricks or hidden agendas" in regards to interpreting the business casual statement (in the past) you are still the one on show...

Best foot forward, go and get it!
