Go ahead and tell yourself that if it makes you feel better. Challenge, like most of the non-majors back in the 90's, was a lifeboat for furloughed American, Pan AM, Delta, REAL Eastern, and yes, a few scabs too. Back then, things were tough for just about anybody other than UPS, AirTran, and SWA which were growing. And no, I never worked there or on hellish 36th street either...

Tell me this, UPSset.. How many Challenge Air Pilots ever even got an interview or are now on the UPS Senoirity list? The answer is a cold as it was for all the Orion pilots that finally won their lawsuit against UPS after being promised jobs there. Don't get me wrong, the IPA pilots are awesome but there's a reason why they have the most powerful union in the aviation business; They need one.

Sorry, but historically UPS buying out your airline is the kiss of death if you want to work there. I don't know why, but that's a fact. Your chances are better if you just apply.
