Getting the 737 right out of the gate is a good thing since it means you'll only be learning a little bit of new stuff (new airplane) with a brush up on high speed/high altitude aerodynamics. If you decide move to a different airframe, then you'll only be learning a little bit of new stuff. For us this is a good thing since we suck at building course material, teaching to standards or adopting industry-wide best practices in education.

All this is to say your 737 class is reflective of our weaknesses not yours. Don't worry about it.

Does anyone know what "under review" versus "hidden (numbers)" means on the jobs dashboard under status? Thanks!

I looked up some icims FAQs and some other guys on here told me. Im 'hidden' as well. All I could gather is it has processed to the next step in the system, what that is exactly, no idea. I've been 'hidden' for 3 weeks. But it isn't a TBNT, so thats good. Stay positive. Good luck.

It goes hidden after you submit everything. It just means it hasn’t been reopened/finalized.

Truth is they are working within the framework of the CBA.

That would be false.

The company is infamous for violating the CBA. Do you track grievances? That would be a good start. The company proves almost every single day they cannot abide by the CBA and do business. See also: Outsourcing During Crew Shortage.

Thank you for the clarification.

Don't get me wrong, I'm beyond grateful. I know there are tons of applicants with more experience than me from Compass/TSA/Miami Air, etc......

Only reason why I tried to get a different airframe was for pay purposes. I know the schedules, pros/cons after reading every single page of all the threads here on APC, and it's ok I can deal with everything at this point, a job is a job in this environment. Not having a pay increase in 3 years is ridiculous though, that's all. Plus the seat lock, stopping you from moving and making more.

I assumed training is not AQP and I know it will be as challenging as it gets, but that goes with the profession I guess.

I don't think you are ungrateful. The big thing is the paycheck. You were pretty clear, and it seems you are happy to come here.

When it comes to training it's actually pretty easy. The problem is that it's incomplete and what we do have is not thoroghly taught. So we depend on knowledge you bring. The more we have to teach, the more likely we are to under-equip you.

Also, we aren't above doing silly things because someone feels offended. Folks are sensitive and people are changing positions. So there is some insecurity in the company and union right now.. Keep your head down til you are secure in the new gig. Look forward to meeting you somewhere in the system. :)

I started studying systems on my own to be as prepared as I can, nothing specific or SOP material, but I want to have a good idea about how the plane works. So hopefully that and some jet experience will make things easier and will be able to focus on other stuff.

As someone that came to the US almost a decade ago from Spain, I grew a thick skin fast lol. Nothing like being asked hey is Spain close to Argentina?, or you guys speak mexican in Spain? :D Kinda miss working in construction.

I'll for sure keep my head down, and hopefully things will change a little bit in the future.

Thank you and I'm looking forward too!
