Good idea actually. Get your 777 type and finish OE. Then try to get on with Kalitta. They are adding more 777s to their certificate.

Plus an added bonus, Kalitta pilot group may/will be Voting on a new contract by this Dec.

If approved, Kalitta will be one of the better Cargo airlines to work for (besides UPS & FedEx) the foreseeable future.

When Atlas pilots finally have their contact Arbitrated; maybe the Arbitrator can take a part of Kallita’s new contact
(pay and 401k match), and Atlas work rules, and presto, a new contract for 2022.
No word on scope though.....

Incredibly tone deaf in the current environment. A lot of people would feel lucky to have an offer at Atlas or Southern right now and be able to feed their families and pay their mortgage.

^^^ yep. And stay at Atas/Southern until either they can get on at an airline with a better contract (UPS,FedEx, Kalitta) that is good for them and their family or wait and see what happens with the Arbitrated contract by spring of 2022.

I have only seen class dates published through August but I don't pay much attention to company emails. I'm only here for the medical coverage, beer and boat gas money. Atlas's idea of long term planning is at 10am figuring out where they are going for lunch. Atlas is a job not a career. Good Luck

back in the day, atlas would have pilots swimming for months on end. If along the way they found a more qualified pilot they would pull them for a class date. Maybe they’re back to their old ways.

I think this is clearly the answer... You need to keep looking for a job if you're in the pool. It could be next week. It could be next year. It could be never. UPS does the same thing...

All you’ve contributed here in 6 years is 6 pages of bashing Atlas and prior to that DPJ.
Bitter much?
Life must really suck for you.

Some folks are getting phone calls the day after the video interview with august class dates, others are getting emails that say 'welcome to the pool'.....i think everyone needs to take a hard look in the mirror and try to understand where exactly they might be fitting into this system as they log off their zoom interview session....introspective!
