Interview
in a separate email I was told classes through Aug were full. They are meeting in July to set the fall class dates.

I think we all (hopefully) know there's no substitute for studying the company provided material. But if I knew absolutely nothing about the aircraft systems and wanted to get a good idea of how the general systems work and the levels of automation, it sure beats trying to cram it all in at the last minute. I know of folks at other places who didn't get their CBT's assigned until a couple of days before they were supposed to show up at sim.

Our ability to learn independently is a requisite of our profession. So we have to assume people know what is or is not helpful to their personal education. They know how they absorb, prioritize and access information. If they can't figure that out without outside direction, do we really need them in Bangui or Dushanbe?

They said they will call you and make you offers...you can decline until what you want comes along...through it may never come and they make no guarantees other than the phone call you get at the moment. Also they will ask you at the interview what you want and what not to waste your time with...

Keep in mind that if Southern is ever merged into the Atlas certificate (going on 4+ years now of trying) that suddenly you will have not only a bunch of Southern FOs ahead of you but also lot of Atlas FOs able to bid 737 CA if they choose.
