Anyone else in the same boat? I really don’t want to bother anyone with an email, since I’m assuming they’re busy.
interviewed fist few days of June. Got an email exactly 6 days later that I was added to the pool and would be assigned an aircraft and class date when they get the schedule set.

in a separate email I was told classes through Aug were full. They are meeting in July to set the fall class dates.

I know of folks at other places who didn't get their CBT's assigned until a couple of days before they were supposed to show up at sim.
I guess it really depends on the learning style of each person, for me it does not help me to study materials outside the company before hand, perhaps I have more trouble learning to then unlearn something, but that is just me.

Learning is a much about confidence accessing the information you have as it is about brining new information into your mind. If people are able to connect the dots better if they've seen a YouTube video describing something great! There are risks, though. Regardless of material, inappropriate learning can occur.

Our ability to learn independently is a requisite of our profession. So we have to assume people know what is or is not helpful to their personal education. They know how they absorb, prioritize and access information. If they can't figure that out without outside direction, do we really need them in Bangui or Dushanbe?

That was too much typing. I meant to say give people access to infodnation and let them decide how to use or abuse it on their own.

If you’re in the pool, do they give you options for airframe + class dates or is it strictly ‘take it or leave it?’

They said they will call you and make you offers...you can decline until what you want comes along...through it may never come and they make no guarantees other than the phone call you get at the moment. Also they will ask you at the interview what you want and what not to waste your time with...

A few late 2018 hires going through upgrade training now. Not sure if there have been any more junior to that.

Keep in mind that if Southern is ever merged into the Atlas certificate (going on 4+ years now of trying) that suddenly you will have not only a bunch of Southern FOs ahead of you but also lot of Atlas FOs able to bid 737 CA if they choose.
