What is a standard 121 footprint regarding training?
Isn't that company specific rather than a standard? How many instructors you have, if you have sims in house or not, if you have company designees, what kind of operations you do, I mean if you are a 6 leg a day type of operation with in house sims wouldn't it be quicker than farming out sim training and doing long haul? The question is very valid! Full type rating ground school/sims: 8 weeks in MIA. When training center is busy, there's usually a backlog of new hires waiting for OE. If you're lucky, you get OE a couple weeks after completion of the type. If you're very unlucky, you wait 3-4 months for OE and may have to redo the type ride (jeopardy event). OE, if you're sharp, can be completed in a week. If you're new to this type of operation/aircraft it will take longer. Caveat: Training pay is $1600/mo for the first four months, while waiting for OE. After that, first year min guarantee of 50 hour/mo. |

Schedules across airframes?
Any insight on the different schedules of the 74, 76, or 77? I was asked on a phone screen what I’d prefer and I am trying to decide.
The screener did tell me that the pay rate was the same across the three of them, so I am trying to decide based on schedule and time away from home. |

The pay scale is only the same on the first year. After that, your earnings will be larger by the larger airplane you are flying.
this depends. If you like your wife/husband/significant other. 767 if you like your moms basement 737 if you hate your body- 777 if you like flying missions, and hate your body 747 |
