Under these conditions you would not be restricted from bidding a wide body after your two year seat lock was up.

Thank you for clearing that up Atlasvet. Pardon my ignorance I'm coming from the rotor world, when you bid on a widebody are you competing with new hires or internal has first dibs?

You bid with your seniority, so at 2 years you should have no problems holding any FO seat apart from 747 Miami.

You do not compete with new hires. CBA states you have preference to cover those vacancies once your seat lock is up

That makes sense thank you. Seems like Pathway makes for a quick transfer to a widebody.

I was hired on the 737, 2 years of seat lock, and I’m starting 747 training in August.

Default Pathway Program Follow up

Do you guys know how long after receiving an email from the recruiter requesting to fill out a form with your total times and some other hours did you hear back? I'm very interested in the pathway program but I'm in a time crunch, I have a CJO with a Regional, and my ATP/CTP course is coming.

I received an email saying the following: ...."My name is XX and I'm on the Crew Talent Acquisition Team with Atlas Air. We have received your application for the Pathways to Success Program and are currently in the process of reviewing your qualifications. Would you please complete the attached Aeronautical Worksheet and email it back to me to complete our review process and determine the next steps?...."

Thank you guys

Bro, pick a single thread to ask this question….. lol

I have no idea. But I would go the regional route unless Atlas is your long term goal. If you think 737 is a great for time building for the Majors…. The Donald’s famous words “WRONNNGG”!

Default Pathway Eligibility

I'm approaching ATP mins and very focused on Atlas. I appreciate the senior CA's take on getting TPIC from the regionals, but in my situation, Pathway is ideal.

Is Pathway "really" open to the public, or do you need to come through the CAE pipeline to have a chance? Any insight from Pathway alums is appreciated. Thanks!
