Funny you should mention this. Our Orals, FBS, and first couple FFS sessions just hit our schedule.

DOH + 62 days for the Oral. It is looking like about 100 days to our Type Ride. Three weeks off off at home to study will be nice, but it will require discipline.

Regarding outbasing specifically on the 777. Do folks on 777 have outbasing opportunities or is it mostly for 74 and 76?? During meet and greet I was told incheon was one of the out bases. Which are the other cities out there? And is it fleet dependent?

Unsure regarding the 777 or any other:

The 74 for June was as follows: HHN (Germany) CA 02 and FO 04 /// ICN CA 04 and FO 12
*Have seen NRT before, but that was long ago. The above are the predominant out bases. Have run into 76 crews in HHN on out base assignments before. Others on different equipment will chime in.

I'm guessing the Hahn stuff is mostly military charters? Seems like a small town, anything to do around there on a day off?

You have to remember that out basing at Atlas is just a month of reserve. You may never see the airport you are based at for that month. The company has an incentive to keep you away from your outbase if you’ve flown a long leg and are due heavy rest.

Other bases have pretty similar lines, except JFK/MIA.

Twin Wasp is correct, but if you were to spend some time in Morbach there are just a few restaurants other than the hotel restaurant to chill, eat and have a beverage outside during the good times. A couple of Doner kebab’s, ice cream parlor, grocery store maybe two, nothing significant but chill and quiet - depending on the crew compliment of course. It’s a pocket city that doesn’t interest those searching out significant nightlife as it’s not Frankfurt obviously. Plenty of hiking trails and country side if your into it; otherwise, rent a car and have at! Definitely worse places to be, but I find it enjoyable and I might be the only one.
