Seems like this implementation period is taking a lot longer than it should.
It took 2 years at my previous shop. |

In the mean time it would be nice to know what's formally implemented and see something our pilots can stand on beyond a draft or guide. If we're doing things by handshake agreement that's cool, but our pilots need to know before they go out on a limb. Basically we should probably know what's official (like pay rates), what's informal, etc. |
Looks like when someone did the last update to the Atlas page they took off the 767 Pay scale. Does anyone have the new contract rates with DOS? Trying to decide between 74 and 76. Thanks.

While the 767 pays less, the general consensus is that it offers a much improved quality of life and more predictable schedule. Best of luck with your decision, and welcome aboard. |

Generally speaking, the 747 offers fairly significantly better pay, as well as increased diversity of flying and more flying time logged. This historically comes with a less predictable / ever changing schedule.

I will say just using Nov 1st half flying (17 day pattern) and this month’s 1st half flying (16 day pattern) thus far has offered no changes other than for the better. Better meaning losing a trip (displaced by others, but keeping the pay associated with it) and having filled with another piling on the credits. Haven’t had any significant churn as before. Perhaps getting more efficient in some case and/or actually adhering to your awarded bid line per the new CBA line guarantee. Scheduling fires do exist no doubt, but I have had less schedule crushing tornadoes by far. As said before the 17 day lines normally go senior and some split lines do meet some expectations, but the ORD lines this month had a couple of 3 mini trips within a 30 day line. Living near base no issue, commuting would be an issue. Maybe it was meant to extend you right into the next trip? Maybe someone who is doing one can chime in as it seemed abnormal.
*Curious - using data from last month and when we’re closer to the end of this month has anyone been extended? |
