I don't know who you listen to or where do you read those stories...BUT that's a bunch of crap.

No AQP, that's true, but we do have CBTs, failure rates are not high at all. Systems, you're on your own, but there's some ground school and plenty of SIM, like a LOT.

People call it a big boy training program, and it's just that. Don't expect someone telling you what paragraphs to read and when to go to bed. But you have all the material and support you may need to succeed.

No need to get nervous. That won't help you. You need determination and commitment, and then you won't have any problem.

Plenty of manuals yes (FCTM FCOM 1&2 FOM and tons of good PDFs and presentations.
Thanks, CRJJ I appreciate your response.

Thanks Elevation for the input.

I wore a suit to the oral and to the type ride.
I wasn’t the only one.
Fun places to stay?
Sure, you got your CBT’s finished?

Congrats! Schedule shows myself passing thru MIA closer to the 13th next month and then again on the 18th as well. Truthfully that remains to be seen but I was just there for some training (new scenarios/fell out of the sky a few times, stacked 3 landings) a few days ago and it was typical comfortable Miami during this time of year.

All the normal stuff. Having access to a beater car is really nice.

I hope it’s not a truck.
They’re stealing tail gates in Miami like it’s going out of style.

“Beater Car” is the truth. Don’t risk anything in pristine condition or you care much about.

Swimming trunks, sandals...

Virginia Key, Crandon Park, South Beach.... If you have the time, drive down to Key West (4 hour drive). Everglades if you want to see a swamp lolz.
