I know of three that didn’t make it out of Miami

Not at all unique to Atlas, training backlogs and staffing issues are pretty much prevalent across our industry right now.

Two points being, the bodies are there and are arriving on the property to cover attrition.

A percentage of those bodies are Aussies and the impact they make remains to be seen.

And some of the bodies there will turn in their resignation before they even get to the line. They get their first choice offer and they are gone.

Once again, the company is loading the coffers and attrition rate has actually slowed a bit. Sorry if this doesn’t fit your narrative.

It will continue to be a challenging and interesting period in pilot hiring and training.

Ot of interest, what is the percentage that are Aussies? Or how many Aussies total?

Not to dox you.
By your own postings you are retired Atlas and by your apparent knowledge you’re still a contractor.
Training capacity hasn’t changed.
Explain to me how you can go from 500/year to 900/year with no infrastructure changes.

Not saying it won’t be a challenge and they aren’t stretching and that the TC is operating at over capacity.

In 2020 the number was close to 600.

Since then there have been additional resources, new sims, new technology and classrooms, lots of new instructors and a lot more flights to do OE on.

So will they make 900, likely not but the point being they are gaining.

For what it’s worth, everyone in the 747 class in which I am transitioning was just sent home for a 3 week break before our oral. I started transition training at the beginning of July. As it stands right now, I won’t even touch a full flight sim session until sometime in late September / early October. To say that the training center is beyond capacity right now might be a bit of an understatement.

Even before the oral?, I thought time off would be in between sims or sth.
I’m driving to Miami, so they better let me keep my room
