Default Base and Seniority Progression Information

So we have been getting a lot of questions about bases and seniority progression on when one can hold a certain base on a certain fleet. I hope to keep this somewhat updated for those thinking of coming over and so we don’t keep getting the same questions over and over about base progression.

This is as of the May vacancy…

Note: For those looking to come onboard, don’t be mistaken by the seemingly short upgrade time on the 777. That is a relic of the pre-merger situation. Same goes for the 737… The chart below is simply the most junior person in base and seat. It’s going to be awhile for pre-merger stuff to shake out. The FO side is straight forward at this point though.

Thanks for putting this together.

A quick note for those looking to come onboard, don’t be mistaken by the seemingly short upgrade time on the 777. That is a relic of the pre-merger situation. The latest 777 CA award went to someone hired in 2014.

For now, at least, the upgrade times indicated on the other fleets is pretty accurate.

2015 not 2014.

Last vacancy, jr CA awards for 777/737.
777 CA 10/2015
737 CA 04/2019

That’s pretty spot on. Unless more airframes arrive (other than those already planned), don’t let anyone tell you otherwise
