“You do you, forget everyone else it’s your one life.” And me stating it was an arrogant comment, that’s selling Atlas?

And if we’re doing so, can’t we actually defend our company if we so choose?

The people that should go to Spirit/Frontier are those at Atlas that hate their lifes.

Someone told me two years ago, Atlas is what you make of it. Guess what, it freaking works for me and I’m happy here. So while I’m not a recruiter, I don’t take sh*t either.

Because it's a good company and we need more pilots. Better staffing increases QOL for everyone. For a pretty obvious reason the pilots complaining the most are the ones who will never leave.

Because there is a lot more to being happy with the job you have than spreadsheet earnings that may or may not be true at the end of your career. Flying evacuees fleeing Afghanistan is a lot more satisfying than flying trash that just got in a brawl in the terminal. Or even better, things have gotten so bad at your low-cost airline that crews have to avoid the terminal for fear of physical violence.

Not selling anything. Every place has their bait and only you can decide what your willing or wanting to bite off on. I don’t want anyone here who hates it, complains about it more than normal just go where you want to go if able easy peasy. I totally want you all to find your “happy place” or whatever floats your boat. No excuse coming here and not know what the flavor is with access to all this information. Never a time easier in history to create your future in this industry hands down.

*Imagine not just waiting for the first to call and that’s your future. Honestly, I came here to check it out while initially looking towards other outfits. Something just clicked. Always toured the world before here and lived overseas as well. Wow, this place just hit me right totally works. Can see why it wouldn’t appeal to others and agree based on their wants/needs. For folks like me, it’s a kick @$$ ride. Enjoy your life, you only have one!

Does anyone know if British nationals are being considered at Atlas? I’m very keen on joining, currently fly the 777. I don’t posses a Green card but I heard that Canadians are being considered for visa exemption, just wondered if something was possible for non N.Americans, other than Ozzies of course! Many Thanks

It's pretty simple: find a way to get the right to work in the US and you can work at any US carrier pretty much.

Identity and miscommunication is why. Somebody says there are better companies. People hear "You suck because you're not at a better company.".

For what it's worth I think Cathay, Emirates, etc. would be a better fit for Aussies than Atlas. I also think we're better served by hiring American ATPs than recruiting foreign crew. That said we fly to Sydney and have schedules that allow for regular travel to and from Australia to take care of family. That would be a very hard thing to pull off at Spirit or Frontier. I also misread the OP's post and thought he was talking about an ALPA-led drive to limit total E3s. Oops.

Not everyone wants to haul the trash to eastern Florida in a bus until they turn 67. Atlas is far from perfect, but like others have said, it is what you make of it. If you understand what you're getting into, and manage your expectations accordingly, this place is actually a hidden gem. Personally, the QOL I've had here on the 747 over the past 4 years has been the best I've ever had during my career. It's not for everyone, upper management is a bunch of clowns, and the compensation could be better. Different strokes for different folks... YMMV.

Bingo!
As usual, C17B74 nails it squarely on the head.

Maybe you company cheerleaders should at least wait until we have the same 15% DC retirement as Sun Country before you tell everyone how great it is at Atlas. We work more days than Kalitta and our pay rates are lower. That's how sad our new contract is.
