Aaaah, perhaps that’s why I am headed to training on a normal time line vs my grace months like it’s been these past several years. Getting ahead to get behind perhaps.

If there’s training bottlenecks is that because there’s more people in the training department leaving that are causing the training delays? Just curious.
There is a significant loss at the 3-4 year point on the 747s The international experience is an extra thing that makes their resume stand out to the career destination airlines.

It’s not a new thread worthy discussion, but I’m sure it didn’t help folks trying to get checked out, keep a decent line (but maybe it could have changed it for the better) or just get home to ANC while some were trying to continue on to their Asia homesteads. Blizzard up here in ANC delayed, diverted and tormented some crews quite a bit. Aircraft couldn’t leave, no parking available and several had to be parked on the taxiway when they arrived for several hours running the apu. Just talked to a crew member not long ago who was stuck on their aircraft for over 10 hours after arrival. Unsure if it might have helped much, but we need our new location/ramp as soon as possible. Couple of years probably (more is a guess) we’ll see.

Default Updates?

Thread revival…

Any updates on training delays after Indoc? I’m interested in the 777 fleet specifically as I start in May, but if you have any fleet updates to training delays please share.

Thanks.

The 767 program may still have delays, but the other wide bodies have caught up significantly in the training pipelines. For people starting now in the 777 there is projected to perhaps be short breaks of a week or two, for the 74 the breaks may be nil. Now this is based on current projections and they have missed before.
The hiring has slowed down significantly and one reason for this is to allow the TC to catch up.

Appreciate the update. Happy to hear they’ve resolved the backlog of new hire training.
