767 Questions

Where are the typical layover locations for the 767 fleet.

Are there any stays in TPA or central FL?

Well, there's a 76 base in TPA. Just picked it up, so I can't give you the lineholder skinny. It appears TPA based crews occasionally overnight there, at least based upon recent bidlines. So a 15-17 day line might turn into 10-15 days away, and *might* be broken up to look like a 4-5 day on regular pax-style airline trip pairing - but you'd have to get lucky to hold that or be very senior. There's a lot of reserve (might be great if you wanna stay home) and what are basically "build up lines", e.g., blank lines that they fill in with open flying - Atlas calls them "secondary lines".

Downside is it's still about two years to hold (although trending junior, presumably due to point 3 in this sentence), all domestic Amazon (or maybe that's a perk), and the lines seem to be built to min guarantee outside of peak (roughly Aug or Sept to Dec or Jan).

Have you explored 777 MIA? There have recently been new hires that held it out of training. Not far from central Florida, and the lines are (generally) built to pay a little better.

First year will be Amazon stations: CVG, PDX, ONT, RIV, HNL, etc.

Second year will be global: ICN, HHN, PSM, KWI, BAH, NRT etc.

We have a TPA base and TPA reserve.

Hi,

Awesome info. Thx to all posters. Any updates on the 767 JFK lines? I know it's a longshot for a new hire as it's a rather senior base.

Cheers

Thanks for the info.

I am interested in holding reserve out of TPA, that would work perfectly fine for me. 777 MIA would be second choice.

Thanks again

On the 76 it seems like the flying is being repartitioned. Instead of AMC flying only being out of JFK, Amazon and DHL Asia out of CVG, Hawaii out of ONT, it seems like the flying is out of every base and mixed up.

for example you’ll have lines that will combine some Amazon flying with DHL Asia flying. Some AMC flying with some DHL domestic etc

just my take.

Is it possible to do (roughly) week on, week off on the 767?

If so, would this be for all bases, or only certain clients? Would your confirmed commute be on day 1 and 7 of the 7 day pairing?

Thanks!

The July lines (CVG) are all over the map. Who knows what will be offered for August, November, or next year in the spring. First page of domestic lines alone has...
5 off / 7 on / 7 off / 8 on / 4 off
6 on / 10 off / 9 on / 6 off
3 on / 5 off / 2 on / 5 off / 8 on / 5 off / 3 on
5 off / 5 on / 5 off / 5 on / 5 off / 6 on.
Granted, some of those patterns end around 01z. All begin with an operating leg out of CVG on Day 1, with one exception being a limo to ILN.

One of the international lines is 9 on / 15 off / 7 on. Another International line is 3 on / 5 off / 7 on / 9 off / 6 on / 1 off. The others are also all over the map.

Seniority is going to be key to happiness. You will gateway on your day "off." If you don't want that, then best to live near base.

For those on the 767, what are the chances of a new hire getting a line that's 17 on and 13 off regularly? Is there a particular base that would be better suited for such a pattern for a new joiner? (CVG vs ONT)

Sorry for cross posting, I couldn't remove the original question in the hiring thread when I found this more relevant thread.
