At this point I wouldn't get top invested in any rumors or statements. Most mergers and acquisitions come with a statement of preserving leadership to facilitate the deal. Not saying management is going or staying, but I wouldn't read into anything right now.
Along those lines, anyone who claims to have inside information would have also seen this deal coming. They would have invested, perpared, etc. based on this to gain wealth. Right now anyone who just made 50% on a sizeable chunk of stock will be spending their time thinking about whether to sell than post on any forums.
The truth is the future is in the hands of the people with the funds. They would be dumb to leak anything. We can read into their intentions, but ultimately we don't know. Resilience>prescience for now.

From a Hill City Capital insider:
The plan is to fragment the airline, breaking into two airlines and profit off the sales of each individual airline once restructured. Needs to go private to get done outside shareholder approval.
Amazon is taking 737, 767, 777s and the remaining 747s will be restructured back into the old Atlas Air model.
Amazon wants their own airline without the Teamsters Union and without the high pay scales, they want all pilots starting on year one pay, all pilots brought on Amazon property will need to apply.
Talks of strong union members being denied. From my understanding a large social media campaign researching the pilot group has already been implemented to weed out strong union supporters.

After years of collective bargaining, a strike vote and an arbitrated CBA to get where we are today, don’t you think it’s in extremely poor taste to be a class alpha c*ck-sucker and incite panic amongst your brothers and sisters? It’s quite obvious that in this pilot market such a plan would fall flat on its face, but why stir the pot?

They have a plan when they buy something.
What is the plan and why would you use SunCountry as a glowing example?
They have nothing in common with Atlas apart from using airplanes.
That we have in common.

Nowhere in this planet is there a market for 100 cargo planes, most of them 20 years old. Buying Atlas for the fleet would be idiotic, especially at 50% premium.
I'm just gonna go with Occam here. Nothing drastic will change. They'll hold on to us and streamline the operation, finance some growth so their acquisition appreciates, maybe add a random merger in there for growth, and then flip us back to the market.

But some guy on APC won't be spilling that plan "from an insider".
We'll find out what the plan is over the next 3-5 years.
Atlas the airline is vastly more profitable than Titan or other parts. Continuing to run the airline would make a lot of sense.
If not, people will bail and they are left with a fleet of obsolete airplanes when no-one has the pilots to fly them.
