*No matter what happens we are pawns in game of life. Ride it out, resume ready, recession or not, war there maybe here, enjoy what you can as best you can. None of us have voted on anything relevant here.

“This whole idiom that legacy airlines are the ultimate goal for every pilot is just a bit outdated. We have captains making 500k+/year who are gone from home 10 nights a month. Plenty of FOs hitting 300k with similar QOL. And flying fully augmented LH is the easiest job in the world.”

Not according to Dera. According to him Atlas is the top of the heap for airline pilots. Here’s a quote from him.

You are just showing your inability to read complete sentences. Again.
I said: Legacy airlines are not the ultimate goal for every pilot. You just obviously decided to misinterpret it to mean "Every captain here makes 500k a year". Which is not what I said. We have guys who live in ANC who have amazing QOL.

And then you quote me not saying that.
We appreciate you wishing us the worst possible outcome. Shows your true character.

Nobody other than the investor consortium ultimately knows what is going to happen to Atlas, probably not even Atlas management at this early stage. We’re all making bets here based upon our personal and family circumstances, personal biases, and assessments of why we think Atlas might have been bought based upon the limited publicly available information.
There’s no need for and little benefit to attacking others whose assessment you disagree with.
If you think it’s awful news, or you were planning to leave anyway, then leave. I think half my new-hire class has gone to United at this point.
If you think it’s ok and the complex calculus of seniority, basing, scheduling, etc works for you and the family, stay.
