The more important question is what makes reserve different at atlas. It’s not the pox on your house like it is at a normal airline. In fact it generally goes senior in some fleets.

We all do 17 days of RSV. It’s what this airline is, and probably will always be.

You'll probably at least get a secondary line right away. I've been here 5 years, and have never had to bid a reserve line.

I was reserve the month I was doing OE, since then I’ve been a primary line holder except for January and February this year when I elected to bid for a 60 day reserve line.

we are all on the hook for 17 days. They can change any of our schedules on a whim. Sounds like reserve to me.

you still have BLG and you are not required to check your schedule in the same manner as a reservist. And they can extend a reserve for three days at the end of the pattern

No, we are not necessarily on the hook for 17 days. No, they can't change a primary lineholder's schedule on a whim. No, it does not sound like reserve.

Did you know our lineholder rules for schedule changes are better than at AA, where you can be reassigned even if your flight stays intact (which they can't here)?

Have you ever done reserve at any airline?

Not quite like reserve, man. Hard lineholders get fewer changes and more protections via BLG. Also there are some important distinctions around QOL and contactability.
