Estimated income by fleet

Hello aviators,

I've been searching the forum for some time now and found some very valuable information. I would first like to thank everyone.
However, I would like to ask a question.

Despite having the salary estimate calculator available on the website, I still have a doubt about what salary is estimated to be received in the different fleets, since each one seems to be a different universe.

What would be the estimated average annual income on the different fleets (B737, B767, B777, B747) including base salary, with an average of overtime applicable, per diem, other variable payments, etc?
In year 1, 2 and 3 as a FO?

Thanks in advance.

64 hours x $hourly rate + approx $1000 per diem - 401k contribution, medical insurance and tax. Don’t bank on overtime.

Wish I was senior enough to hold those 64 hour lines. 75-80 is what I get.

Gross income year one is around high five figure, low six figure.

year two and onwards there’s more money in the 747. You can make $200k a year on year two if you want to be gone a heck of a lot.

767 FO, just about to progress to year 2. Last three months were all at Minimum Guarantee as I have been stuck on Secondary Lines, which there are a lot of, and have worked very little.

Next month I'll be about 69.8 hours pay, not a whole lot better. 767 FO overtime has been almost non-existent for three months.

Plan on minimum guarantee first year, and don't include per diem in your income calculations.

Keep in mind we're coming off of the mother of all peak seasons due to covid, basically 3 years straight of Atlas flying any aircraft or pilot they can get in the air. A large number of pilots on our seniority list have only seen this kind of life at Atlas. 2023 is shaping up to be a lot more like a traditional year where the first quarter is incredibly dead. Atlas sends the fleet in for heavy checks after the Christmas rush and sends everyone who wants out on vacation and the rest get min flying.

Heck, in the "bad old days" of ACMI an airline would just furlough a chunk of the seniority list from January-July every year like clockwork. I won't guess how the rest of the year will stack up but if it's more "normal" we should start to see things pick up in the 2nd half. Mean time enjoy the light schedules, long layovers and time home. The days of assuming 100+ hour months year round are over.

So true, Bolt is on point. Last three years was never going to be the “new normal” just an opportunity that most were able to capitalize on as most of us did. Bases do differ, equipment does matter, but it’s your choice and make your priorities happen. R&R is here. Welcome back to reality and re-energize for hopefully a better back half of the year.

Always plan for Min Guarantee as far as pay goes with any airline. Never know what the future holds!
