I thought I would leave but I'm spoiled by the schedule. I like the roughly two weeks on two weeks off deal. As far as the merging the two seniority lists, who gets to fly what is beyond my pay grade. I voice my opinions about it but it's not up to me. I don't want to get kicked on the street again. So Polar is where I want to be. My "get out of jail free" card is I'm furloughed from the majors and don't want to return to yank gear for the rest of my career but can be done if things don't work out here.
Having said that, there is a lot to correct. Our work rules and benefits, in my opinion, are good. But when I see a 7-6 driver with the same amount of seniority as I making $130 an hour there's something to be said. Correct me if I'm wrong but last time I checked the 7-4 hauls a wee bit more than the 7-6. It's not about making more it's about parity. I'm not jealous of the higher pay and not one of these "my daddy is better than you daddy" type of people -- only want to be paid what I'm worth. For those of you on the regional level trying to move up, you need to think this way, too. Don't settle for well, I'll just get my PIC time and move on. You guys/gals are worth a lot more than that.
Remember this: They'll (management) never have to give you something you don't ask for! :D
