Lines on the 73 are back to 35-50h. I know a few guys that enjoy and will stay on this fleet, but probably 60-70% will bid a different one, that's my guess. I'm for sure bidding 747/777. Gotta give the international thingy a try, and if I don't like it....I'll come back to the domestic fleets when the seat locks allow me to.
Training department is going to stay busy for a while :D #737livesmatter |

I guess that was a dumb question. For the guys that are on the line, are there a lot 73/76/77 pilots that plan on bidding 747 when the SL officially merge? My concern is that I’ll get stuck at the bottom for a long time

I personally would upgrade to the 73, but I know a few 737 FOs looking to come to the wide body fleet. I don’t blame them.
Some guys went back for a new checkride since they couldn't consolidate in 4 months. That is not a problem anymore tho. |
I’m thinking of applying to Atlas but I want my next place to be it. I was wondering if anyone there can help me out with a few questions.
- Does the 17-day schedule improve with seniority or are you only off 13/14 days regardless with all the lines? - What are some typical schedules on the 747? Number of days offs, length of trips, etc. - Is there a trip trade window with open time or between pilots? - Under the new CBA, what’s the retirement contribution? Profit sharing? Long-term/short-term disability coverage? |
I think most of your questions have answers right here on this thread. For updated information, I would suggest going back 1-2 years.

Long-term/short-term disability coverage? Seniority: you get better schedules in that you can have a week on or week off. Trip trades are manually done with phone calls/emails. No trip trade system like other carriers have. Retirement: 60% 401k match to 10% employee contribution. |
