I know it's never too soon, however, I was off the grid for a bit.

Don't forget about the ability to group days off to sometimes longer than three weeks without taking a vacation. No crash pad, ticket to work, the equipment, sweat pants and a t-shirt for cruise. You're still going to have long duty days so why not just do one or two legs at a time than five or six with a min rest just to do it all over again. Yeah, don't see myself accepting a recall and Brand X.

captainV and the rest of the Atlas/polar guys, don't try to convince people to go work for Atlas. No need to give away our secrets. let the rest that don't want to come here think this place sucks. Oh yeah just finished a nice stretch of 30 days off and no vacation. now headed to HNL and SYD.
We know better though.

Though I don't know Easy...(love the name), I think he is a brilliant aviator. For those of us that have had to wait for this opportunity, I hope to get into this pool and scuba or swim and then fly.

I am humble----and always find the ice for the drinks.

Good luck to all...

Latest word is the pool is empty. In fact, they called a couple that weren't invited to get their feet wet and see if they're interested in the Sep 4th class. I guess a few in the pool found other things to do. Good chance to drain and clean it before the next group comes along. Some were in the pool as long as 11 months.

I think he is sayin' that we shouldn't try to sell the job. We know it's great, but it is not for everyone. If pilots need to be sold on the place, they probably won't like it.
Some folks don't understand because they haven't looked deep enough or they just plain don't like what they see.
That's fine.
It's better to have the guys here that have looked hard and like what they see. They are the ones you want to sit in the cockpit with on a 16 hour trip.

+1

Slowly been making my way through this whole thread(almost caught up!!) and not much selling having to be done for me by you guys.... just hearing all the experiences and about the company, equipment and crews, not to mention the places you guys get to go.....I sold myself!! Can't wait for the window to open. I am another regional guy, stranded at my company for 10 years now, and it is in a slow downward spiral and I have been looking to bail for a while now and Atlas just sounds awesome. All you guys have written so far has been great and truly helpful to give a clear picture of what kind of adventure awaits... Certainly hope that i am fortunate enough to make it through the whole process and get to fly with some of you guys!!
