I ran the numbers and if he in fact was working based phases of the moon and low tide then he would have made his decision two months ago.

I don't believe he was brought back from the dead at all. That is just what THEY want you to believe.:D

I don't think you can just drag a folder of pdf files to a post or whatever you did to generate that list. :) Unless of course you just wanted to show which agreements exist and didn't want to edit out the file sizes.

744driver 08-11-2011 05:53 AM

Easy there, dude, he just provided the answer to a question asked several days ago.

I could have done that, but didn't. Thanks for the response, Captjeffb.

As for the agreements, ours at Atlas couldn't be any different than any other airline's CASS/jumpseat agreement.

Pirate 08-11-2011 06:20 AM

I'm looking forward to getting a ride with Rusts Flying Service. I just hope the "jump seat" doesn't mean getting strapped to the floats!

Wow! 90!! Great job - congratulations!

For curiosity, what are your stats?? Although with that kind of a score you could almost have 50 PIC and still get called!!:D

For those outside looking in: Still no word on the 3 items sent to arbitration. The arbitrator may take his sweet time as there is no time limit. How much time do you need for 3 items? I have no idea. Apparently, he had a hip replacement and that is delaying the process. Additionally, the union asked the company to put in place all the other items that were agreed upon, but the company said (drum roll).... "no."

Hip replacement had nothing to do with it. He's snowed with arbitrations, and takes them in order. The wait continues...

chip1 08-12-2011 03:37 PM

stats are:
7300TT
7000 ME (turboprop and turbojet)
4000 121 PIC
types: emb 145/170/190
no failures, incidents, accidents, violations

really excited bout Atlas, gonna be cramming before Sept. 15th for sure. That online test was an absolute beast. Probably the most difficult test Ive ever taken.

VF32TomCat 08-12-2011 05:51 PM

Today two friends from July 28 interview received the bad letter from Atlas Air. It did not arrived on Fedex, it arrived on USPS.
I am from July 27 interview and still waiting, no letters, no news. Let hope for the best.

Someone posted this earlier. I can't confirm if it works - still need to take the test. Of course, that would require them to call me already....:D

To get score: If you log back into the test site and go Admin, Reports, My Status, red Test# you can find your grade. I think the "pass" grade is a floating number.

easyflying 08-13-2011 01:30 AM

VF32, the experience is only good to get the interview. Once you are face to face it really does not matters what experience an individual has as much as what they can do with it and personality. Don't get me wrong I don't know your friends or any of the other well qualified individuals that have not passed the interview. I know some great people that did not get hired either and it makes you wonder. One thing is for sure we don't know how each individual interviews? that is the only difference. This is what I've learned in my short galley B$%^CH career. Tell your friends to try again. coffee anyone???? chicken beef or fish????

cargowannabe 08-13-2011 01:40 PM

They're hiring instructors off the street?

Wow! That's too bad that one of the best instructors "replaced" a couple of years ago on the Polar side of the house and yet they still need instructors. This is not meant towards a "dig" toward you - - congrats --

I was only curious.

Also not a dig, congrats, but an instructor upgrade as a 2/11 hire seems quick. How does the Atlas selection for instructor work?

VF32TomCat 08-15-2011 12:37 PM

Anybody from the July 26, 27, 28 interview with good news, some candidates have the bad letter, but nobody mention the good news, I am from the 27 and still waiting.

No digs taken, you should see how thick my skin is!!!!

Heck I don't know how it happened. There was a post for the job, a bunch of people applied my self included, I got the call for the interview and out of the bunch I was fortunate enough to get the call for the job. (there were actually two of us hired)

I believe my back ground had a lot to do with it. I did dabble in technical writing in my past plus I have seven years B737 (classic & NG) instructor both gnd and sim and three years LR 60 instructor also gnd and sim.

Heck I really don't know I feel lucky just to have the job at Atlas.

Cheers,

cargo

PS: Chillin and Grillin starts Friday

Rhinoflyer 08-15-2011 01:30 PM

Cargo, I always knew you would be on the fast track. Congrats.

bloomerpilot 08-16-2011 06:20 AM

So I just passed the test but also can't find my score. I don't have any options for reports under administration. Does anyone know if you need a minimum score to get a interview? I think I did good but not knowing my score is driving me crazy. HR also said I'd get a call within 48 hours and I am anxiously waiting by the phone!!

abuesing 08-16-2011 07:18 PM

Cargo,

You are the man! ... Does this mean a certain "vehicle" will be spending some time at the Marriott campus again? I'm having a drink right now just thinking about the possible freedom this could bring to Miami! Congrats!
