Default consequences of breaking a contract?

If you're job which required you to sign a contract but you wished to leave early and pay the remaining money, what would the effects be for future employers? If you get marked for non eligible for rehire on your background checks by the previous employer, would this effect your chances of getting a job or going to a major/legacy?

If you leave on good terms, should not be a problem.

Leaving on bad terms, including no rehire, that would be bad.

Make sure you know for sure how your employer will react.

Why break the contract?
Why not serve it out?
Then again there is no reason why it shouldn't be possible to leave on good terms if given appropriate notice and the intend to pay.

Well I know for sure the current employer would be upset and would be ending on bad terms. I talked this over with my potential future employer and he says it would not be an issue, not sure how this would effect me if I ever decide to move onto the legacies? Or even other jobs in the future.

Hopefully. I would prefer to not have a record of a lawsuit against me by a former aviation employer. Bound to raise questions.

If you pay the contract off I don't see what the problem is. You've abided by the terms.
