Default Airline Pathways and minimum TT requirements.

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, however I am curious about this. I am looking to become a professional pilot, and am trying to choose where to earn my certifications. I have seen some schools, (Aerosim is the one I am looking at currently), that offer "Airline Pathways" to regional airlines. Pretty much, after getting your certs, they guarantee(?) an interview with regional airlines they have partnered with. Now, my question is even with these pathways, are you still required to meet minimum TT? For instance, after I have all of my certs, let's say I have 400TT, (I have no idea how many you generally have, this was just a random number), but Air Wisconsin requires 1500TT minimum, do I need to make up that difference before being considered? Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, just would like to have everything as planned out as I can. Thanks in advance.

Yes you need to meet the airline minimums. These minimums were set in stone by the FAA. If you go through the military or a part 141 collegiate flights school there are slight reductions in the hour requirements (however those schools charge premiums so the cost offset might not be worth it).

Also regarding airline pathway programs, they aren't worth the paper that they are written on. All it is, is an advertising gimmick for the flight school. In the current 121 environment you will be able to pick whatever regional airline that you want to go to.

Thank you for the reply...how do you think the job market will look in 3-5 years? I understand this can be hard to predict since this career can be volatile, but how do you think it will fare? I am getting my PPL, but am waiting to get my additional certs until I'm finished with my bachelor's degree (will he done end of next year).

The market will be fine, although the largest hiring demand will have probably peaked by then. You'll still get hired at a regional and then a major, but there may not be quite as much sustained hiring after 8-10 years. This means those who are getting hired right now will enjoy faster seniority progression, but you're still in a good place timing-wise. But don't waste any time that you don't have to.
