Default Lighting a closed taxiway

I thought that there was a rule that the runway lights on a closed runway had to be turned off, with certain exceptions (light maintenance, etc). If the tower is closed, and the runway is NOTAMed closed, aren't they supposed to deactivate the pilot-controlled lighting? What about taxiways? If a taxiway is closed, whether NOTAMed or not, are the applicable lights supposed to be turned off? Is there a reference for any of the above?
Thanx.

I don't know about a reference, but it sounds like common sense.

However...with a taxiway it may not be possible...they may not have a seperate switch for any given taxiway, and they certainly wouldn't for a partial taxiway closure. They may have to leave it on to ensure the rest of the airport remains lit.

Usually what I've seen is that the taxiway should be barracaded with red flashing lights on top of them that will block entrance to the taxiway.
