Default misdemeanor charges

Can someone with some knowledge on Aviation Law, explain to me what are the consequences of having a misdemeanor charges on the record. There is no conviction. Most likely it will expunged.
I just want to know how this affects aviation career and pre-screening processes.
Any information you guys can share would great.
Thanks

If you were not convicted of anything aviation law has nothing to do with it, unless it involved substance abuse/DUI.

No conviction = probably no impact on a 91/corporate career. 135 is probably OK too.

As far as airlines, it depends on many things, can't even begin to guess without knowing some details....

Type of crime?
Age when it happened?
How long ago?
Were you a pilot at the time? Commercial or PPL?

State law and individual court procedures in cases like this vary so much that it is probably worth your while to have an attorney who understands both aviation law and the criminal process in your state take a look at all the paperwork in your case.

Get some reliable advice instead of the opinion of SGOTI. Unless, of course, it's not that important.
