Watch the pockets on the end of the flight case in the CRJ. Mine keep getting hung up on the CB panel behind my seat. Also those rolling flight cases don't fit in the bins in the CRJ. They might work in the ERJ but one of my friends in gonna have to get a new one cause it just don't fit.
Went through the metal detectors and found out my favorite pair of shoes sets off the metal detectors. I just had them resoled and evidently the guy used a sole with a metal plank down the middle. This was my first trip with them. Dang it. It always looks good for the passengers to have the crew being wanded by some over zealous TSA individual. So this afternoon bought me a new pair of "Airport safe" shoes. |
Ok, so I seriously did a search and couldnt find the answer, I searched headsets for crj/erj just headsets, etc. I couldnt find the right answer. So I will ask it here. Whats the best headset for the erj/crj, I know bose are great, but do you guys actually use those or use something else. I really need to get something good, but I dont want to drop 1k for a headset. Thanks.

Any headset will do in the CRJ...whatever fits best for you. But beware, there has been talk about the non-TSO'd sets around here. I'd make sure I got one of 'em, just to be on the safe side.
DC's and Bose's are fairly prevalent - but check out Sennheiser's collection - they look "Airline" Style and work great...you can get 'em with a 12 month payment plan too. |
Are you saying get a non-tso'd or a tso'd set? Wait what does that mean? haha
|
Get a tso'd headset. I have been looking at getting the Telex Airman 500 for when I start at 9E in August. Anyone out there have comments about it?

"Coyote Works professional airmen cases are custom crafted
by hand in Texas by pilots." saw this on the coyote works website and thought it was funny -- so they have pilots making the flight cases?? haha |

In hindsight, I would purchase the 26" version, because it will fit into the CRJ overhead with a little effort. My 22" just barely holds a 4 day's worth of stuff. |
