Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's License
The FCC has apparently changed its automated procedure for obtaining (paying your fee for) your Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's License. All of the existing threads on getting this (ridiculous) license which I could find date back to 2006-7, so the mouse click procedure has changed. Step one is to register on CORES (FCC online system). Step two is to fill out the personal info to get your FRN (FCC Registration Number). Step three is, apparently, to go to the ULN (Universal Licensing System). From there, I don't know where to go. The drop-down menu has about 200 choices to choose from. When I select the "AR - Aviation Radionavigation" option, which I only assume is correct, I get...a prompt to install Java?!?! Can someone who's been through this process please give me a vector check to make sure I'm at least going in the right direction before making configuration changes to my computer?

Just be happy the FCC hands it out for a small processing fee, in some countries you have to drop some coin, take a training course and a test.
