Will I get hired?

As I slowly finish my application on Airlineapps.com I feel like I'm not qualified yet (perhaps nervousness)

I've been flying semi-privately for the last 10 years, mostly single engine cessna's (more than I am proud of). I've slowly reached the ATP minimums and thought of switching careers.

I've done the research and Endeavor is my top choice at the moment followed by Skywest.

Will I be frowned upon for the amount of single engine time and how long it's taken me and not opting for CFI?

Thanks

As long as you meet the minimum you'll get calls for numerous interviews. Coming from straight ga I would suggest really studying for regs and help charts and plates. Take your pick but choose wisely. Good luck in your decision.

I interviewed with Endeavor a month ago. There was a guy with about 800 hours, no ATP, who was working as a CFI. They hired him.

The Endeavor group seemed like a great bunch of people. Just look up the gouge and I bet you'd be fine.

Mesa will hire you via a phone call. You're in good shoes just apply you'll get a call from the regional of your choice.

Hello,

Isnt the ATP required to fly in a 121 airline (or close to) ?
Or did he qualify for the R-ATP at 1000h and had the instrument and ME time required ?

Thanks

You will get hired. You just have to believe in yourself. The regionals do not care if you have have a lot of single engine time. If you meet the minimums, you are qualified. Some airlines are offering a cadet program. Research each company and if you have any questions, contact the airline directly. They will answer any questions you may have.

I was hired with 1500 TT and around 60 ME. Some of my classmates were at the absolute minimum ME time required by the R-ATP. That was over a year ago. Don't sweat it. You have every bit as much multi time as many other applicants who are getting hired today.

He qualified for the 1000, and his employment was contingent upon him getting those last hours. I think it was upper 800s, and he said he wouldn't have an issue hitting the 1k.

Thanks everyone for the confidence. Sent my application yesterday. Hopefully I'll hear back soon. What's the general advice on sending multiple applications? Should I wait to hear back from Endeavor before applying to another regional?

Apply to all the regionals. You can always say no to a job offer.

Nothing yet :( Wonder if they are backed up because of all the recruiting events they've been doing?
