Resumer help question
I need some advice on drafting a resume, and my situation is a little unique.
I flew in the military, then didn't fly for over 20 years and worked in sales all those years (various different jobs/companies). I recently did a total career re-boot and went to work for a regional carrier last summer. I am now plotting my course to move to a major. My question is this: Do I, and if so how do I, list my non-pilot jobs or experience on a pilot resume? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |
I think most of the carriers request work history on the application website. In my experience I didn't even need a resume. Just list everything in order of date for the previous 10 years.

Gather all of your experiences... from your military career to the present. Carriers require a 10 year work history for the background checks. HR, usually, reviews and discusses your history from day 1. That said, construct a resume. There are specialists available that can assist you in designing your resume, and advise you on completing your applications. The last 10 years of information on the resume and application needs to match.
Good luck and welcome back to the fun. |
