Forgot to mention that Thomas Edison is very accepting of credits from other colleges, having professional training, pilot certificates, etc. It will cut down the time considerably to getting a bachelors.

Utah Valley University. They will give you around 30-40 credits for your licenses and work experience. Most classes you can do without an internet connection, but as mentioned before exams and papers must be submitted online. For, the classes that I needed an internet connection I just either screen shot the pages for reading or I copied and pasted. Most classes you will need to buy the text anyways. Some classes require exams to be proctored. For me living in another country has been a bit of a challenge but most schools in the US can proctor no problem. $500-700 per class and quite an easy interface. You are considered in-State tuition so without the out of state surcharge.

What's your take on getting an Associates degree first? It doesn't seems as competitive anymore. Other than a couple carriers, I can't imagine airlines turning down highly qualified candidates with an Associates degree.

Eastern New Mexico University has affordable online degrees, including a BAAS in aviation science, and a BS in aviation science.

The regionals will take you with a GED.

Most of the majors will require a four-year degree, for some it's a hard requirement, for most of the rest it might as well be. SWA might be the exception, occasionally folks get on with AA's (VX now requires a four-year).

But I agree if you wait long enough, you may well get hired regardless...just a question of how many thousands of seniority numbers you'll lose and what that's worth to you.

I'm not saying don't get a BS, Im saying get an associates along the way because it puts you in the college graduate category. The way things are going it may very well get you that seniority number two years earlier.

Default WGU is competency based

https://www.wgu.edu/#

Western Governors University looks interesting. Never attended but have spoken with graduates and they like the accelerated competency based approach.

Other schools that accept a lot of challenge credit or award credit from military and/or licenses and certifications:
Earn Credit for What You Know at Thomas Edison State University

https://www.charteroak.edu/

Other sources of challenging college credit, banking credit:

Make sure it's a truly accredited program, vice a diploma mill. Airlines know the difference.

From 2008' the author of the following article addresses WGU's accreditation.

The HR Capitalist: I Just Graduated From Western Governors "U"... Will You Hire Me?

The following article addresses accusations that WGU is a scam by examining accreditation and other factors:

Western Governors University Scam ? Online College Degrees for Adults

In this case its easier and more effective to reference the link, than to paraphrase, and I have no connection to either source nor WGU.
