Default Looking for a job

Hi Guys!

I have FAA CPL and did my pilot training from an approved part 141 flying school from Florida and have a total of approx 300 hours and currently I am doing extra 200 hours in Florida and it will be done by April. How will I log around 1500 hours so I can work as an airline pilot?

Is there any Part 135 and Cargo Carriers who are hiring, that can I apply for?Its been a long time since I am searching job but didn't get any. Please help!

Thanks.

We have all been in your shoes... Search the threads for low time pilot gigs. “Survey Pilot” jobs, banner tow, etc. Unfortunately Your low Total Time (<500) is a difficult pill to swallow for most operators due to their insurance requirements. Most folks at your stage of the game go on to earn their CFI Certificate. This is still the best way to “learn and earn” IMHO. Good luck and keep networking!

There's jobs all over this forum you can apply for. Survey is a great time builder.

If you make it to the 500h mark, consider a short trip to Puerto Rico.

Hurricanes apart, it's a decent place to start building time. Lot's of 402's and Islanders flying single pilot VFR. Also M&N, now ACC (or almost there) will hire you to fly Shorts right seat.

Isn't cost of living in PR pretty prohibitive?

Yes and no. There are some adjustments needed to the way of living. Diet is one of those changes. Some stuff is ridiculously expensive but you can always go back to the basics.
Electricity bill, same story. My company had an apartment and deal was pretty good. But you gotta be careful with that.
But it's doable for a year...
