Logbooks
 
This question is about the proper presentation of logbook entries.

Is it acceptable in the industry to have a logbook with the flight entries in ink, but the totals at the bottom of the page in pencil, as long as the signature of the page is in ink?

Thank you for any advice in this.

Most folks would probably be OK with it, but you might get asked why you are not confident in your totals.

Since you already gave them a resume, and a signed application indicating your flight time I doubt it would be a show stopper.

Put it in ink. If you need to make a correction later, make a single line entry with the correction, a brief reference or explanation in the remarks section and continue down the page. It disappears, and won't be a second thought a page later.
