Seeking any inputs
I am trying to move the family back to the US.
Currently a B787 Capt in Asia and what would be the best way to get into the Airlines back home. Should I apply to the legacies while flying for the current airline until i get the call or should I apply to the regionals as a DEC (not to take a steep pay cut) then wait for the call? At least I got the family back to the States. Thanks |
> Yes.
> Yes. AND > Yes. Apply to the Legacies. Apply to DEC/Regional where able. Grab the first one that calls and Go Home. The rest will fall into place. Heck, if you saved some of that Over-Seas Pay just apply to ALL and, Go Home tomorrow (?) Someone's gonna' hire you right quick anyway it goes... Good Luck! The Kat |
The regionals will call within about one hour after submitting the application. Might about to the bigs first and give it a couple months.

Not going to repeat, just going to second everyone's comments above and say good luck!

Thank you to all of the suggestions.

No, regionals will not call within one hour. Here's how it goes: If you're a DEC: Piedmont and Envoy will call within an hour. If you're an FO: Envoy will reply with an automated email saying they are full, thanks, they will keep your resume on file. GoJet, TSA will reply within an hour and will keep spamming your email until you tell them thanks but no thanks. Compass will email and say they are done for 2018, get back to them at 2019. PSA won't get back to you until 4-5 weeks later, depending how your timing works with their (one) person who checks the resumes. Republic and Endeavor will get back to you within a week and actually schedule things and get the ball rolling. No clue about SkyWest, didn't bother applying there. |
