Cargo vs Passenger

For anyone considering cargo vs passenger flying, we wrote an article about the top 3 reasons to choose cargo.

What are your thoughts? Let us know.

This reads like it was written by a freshman in high school. As for the content, it’s so woefully wrong I don’t even know where to begin.

Most freight hauling companies allow jeans and tee shirts in the cockpit?

We did that flying cancelled checks, but bell bottoms were in style and a guy named Nixon was being investigated for some burglary at an apartment house named Watergate.

Sorry...I have to agree with the first response.

Although, I can't agree with the statement that this was written on the level of a " Freshman in High School". Maybe in the H.S. Special Ed. program, as it is so simplistic that it is embarrassing to the author(s).

I would quickly delete it along with this Thread.

Seriously, from a person who has spent an equal amount of time, over 30 years, flying both passengers and freight this " article " is doing a disservice to the uninitiated.

Good Luck Though!

Ah, yes. Glenn Curtis used to shoot hoops with Orville from the backs of their matching stegasauri in the drive, between hub turns.

The article cited for the thread does a fine job of painting the cargo pilot as a bit less professional than a real pilot, nixon and curtis not withstanding.

Jeans and T's ?

Actually that is correct. For most Long Haul cargo carriers you may wear whatever you like* once in cruise and (obviously) out of the Public Eye. Hub turns/Domestic stuff...It wouldn't make sense to change clothes every 2 hours or so.

14 hours from Australia to San Francisco ? ...I'm in my Jammies w/ Fuzzy Slippers ASAP !

:)
